CSR Edmonds Turbo Ventura 150mm Vent Review

Regular-sized whirlybirds from Edmonds are great for roof ventilation – but they may not be ideal when it comes to ventilating smaller areas. Laundry, kitchen, bathrooms, toilets and other areas at your home may incur humidity or heat which needs to be removed. If not replaced with clean and fresh air, the humid and hot air may damage the wooden components of the area.

TurboVentura (mini whirlybird vent) is an excellent choice when it comes to ventilating the smaller areas of your home. This roof-mounted mini whirlybird runs entirely on wind energy which makes it an environment-friendly ventilation solution. This also means that it has no recurring energy costs – instead, it helps reduce your energy bill by minimizing the need to cool or ventilate smaller areas.

TurboVentura has a throat size of 150mm, significantly smaller than Windmaster and Supavent. Edmonds has constructed this model using engineering-grade polymer which is hail resistant and UV resistant also.

The design of the vent is also quite flexible – it has an adjustable throat as well as a malleable base. Both design components ensure that this vent can be easily installed on any roof type. It can be installed even at places where the roof is at an angle or where a very little space is available for installation.

TurboVentura weighs a mere 1.2kg. The light-weight profile has a polymer head and aluminum shaft – together, the two offer maximum durability and optimal air-exhausting capabilities.

Unlike Supavent and Windmaster, the TurboVentura whirlybird is available only in dashing black colour. It is equally suitable for residential and commercial buildings. However, it can’t be used to exhaust larger areas. Edmonds offers a 15-year warranty on this model.
